Gen Ra­heel spent busy day with TDPs

PESHAWAR—The Chief of Army Staff Gen­eral Ra­heel Sharif Mon­day had a busy day in Bannu where he spent his evening with Tem­po­rar­ily Dis­placed Per­sons (TDPs) and also had If­tar with them. Ac­cord­ing to a com­mu­niqué of the In­ter Ser­vices Public Re­la­tions (ISPR) the COAS ex­changed views with the TDPs on var­i­ous as­pects of re­turn, resettlement process and devel­op­ment work.

Ear­lier, COAS also vis­ited North Waziris­tan Agency (NWA). Dur­ing his visit, which was mainly fo­cused on TDPs and their dig­ni­fied re­turn to their re­spec­tive ar­eas, COAS was briefed by the Corps Com­man­der and For­ma­tion Com­man­der in de­tail, about post op­er­a­tion se­cu­rity en­vi­ron­ment, progress of TDPs’ re­turn and their resettlement and re­con­struc­tion work.

Gen­eral Ra­heel Sharif re­it­er­ated his re­solve on en­sur­ing qual­ity of life through a com­pre­hen­sive re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion plan. On ar­rival at NWA COAS was re­ceived by the Corps Com­man­der Peshawar Lt Gen Hi­dayat ur Rehman,.
