Govt to ex­tend so­cio-eco­nomic cover to peo­ple

BAHAWALPUR—Chair­man Cholis­tan De­vel­op­ment Au­thor­ity (CDA) and Pro­vin­cial Min­is­ter for Co­op­er­a­tive Ma­lik Muham­mad Iqbal Chan­nar has said that Pun­jab gov­ern­ment was fully com­mit­ted to mo­bi­lize all avail­able re­sources to ex­tend de­cent so­cio eco­nomic cover to the res­i­dents of Cholis­tani area in Bahawalpur Di­vi­sion which is prac­ti­cally re­flected by fi­nal­iz­ing the process of al­lot­ting 12.5 acres of agri­cul­tural land each to as many as 14926 de­serv­ing peas­ants purely on the merit based pol­icy.

He made these re­marks while pre­sid­ing over a high level meet­ing at the con­fer­ence room of com­mis­sioner Bahawalpur. The meet­ing was at­tended by Com­mis­sioner Bahawalpur Di­vi­sion Saqib Za­far, MNA Begum Perveen Ma­sood Bhatti, MPA Khalid Mah­mood Ja­jja, Sec­re­tary Colonies Chaudhry Muham­mad Ilyas, MD Cholis­tan De­vel­op­ment Au­thor­ity Naeem Iqbal Bukhari, As­sis­tant Com­mis­sioner Gen­eral Syed Waseem Has­san.—APP
