Ab­basi in­au­gu­rates BBH’s up­graded OPD

RAWALPINDI—Chair­man Pak­istan Metro Bus Com­mit­tee Muham­mad Hanif Ab­basi Mon­day in­au­gu­rated the newly up­graded Out­door Pa­tient De­part­ment (OPD) at Be­nazir Bhutto Hospi­tal.

Speak­ing on the oc­ca­sion he said the hospi­tal was cater­ing to med­i­cal needs of a large pop­u­la­tion of the city. He said 25 ven­ti­la­tors and 5 ultra-sound ma­chines have been pro­vided to BBH un­der the Healthy Pun­jab Pro­gramme.

He said Rs 750 mil­lion have been spent on the upgra­da­tion of new OPD while Rs 1.2 bil­lion has been al­lo­cated in the 2016-17 bud­get for four model hos­pi­tals in the city in­clud­ing BBH.

Ab­basi said the PML(N) gov­ern­ment was ex­pand­ing the scope of health cover to re­mote ar­eas in the prov­ince. He said Metro Bus project has proved suc­cess­ful and the ser­vice was be­ing ex­tended in other cities of the prov­ince as well.

Fed­eral State Min­is­ter Maryum Au­rangzeb, Chair­man Board of Man­age­ment of Al­lied Hos­pi­tals Dr Muham­mad As­lam, Prin­ci­pal Dr. Muham­mad Umar, MPA Raja Hanif and Zia Ul­lah Shah were also present on the oc­ca­sion.
