Emi­rates SkyCargo hits big num­bers on Pak­istani ex­ports

OB­SERVER RE­PORT IS­LAM­ABAD—Emi­rates SkyCargo, the freight di­vi­sion of Emi­rates Air­line, has trans­ported over 18,000 tonnes of per­ish­ables from Pak­istan from April to Septem­ber this year to des­ti­na­tions around the world. The ex­ports, which mainly com­prised red and white meat, fruits, veg­eta­bles, and dry fruit, were trans­ported to coun­tries across the globe through Emi­rates SkyCargo’s global net­work of over 150 des­ti­na­tions Emi­rates Sky Cargo. Over 1,600 tonnes of fish have been trans­ported since April this year, with Dubai and Kuwait be­ing the main des­ti­na­tions. Emi­rates SkyCargo also moved over 600 tonnes of crabs from Pak­istan in the same pe­riod.

As for ex­ports of fruits from the coun­try, man­goes en­joy the high­est share. Con­sid­ered the ‘king’ of fruits, mango is a spe­cialty ex­port prod­uct of Pak­istan and has a ma­jor con­tri­bu­tion to the over­all econ­omy of the coun­try.
