ISLAMABAD —Former Squash Legend Qamar Zaman believes Pakistani players will put up a good show in the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) International Squash Championship scheduled to be held here in November.

Talking to APP, he said Pakistan has ruled in the world of squash for 37 years but now it is very disappointing to see that none of our players qualify into the finals. Qamar said he has been given the task to train the players for the International Squash Championship. “I hope this time the national players will qualify for the finals and win the title,” he said.

He said Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, President, Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF), is doing all-out efforts in encouraging and uplifting the game.

He said because of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) events held in Pakistan, foreign players are coming here which is very good sign for the country.

Responding to a question, he said it will take us one more year to produce such players who can make the country proud by winning at international level.

He said PSF President has kept all squash legends including me, Jahansher Khan and Jahangir Khan with him for the promotion and betterment of the game.—APP photo S Rizwan Ali
