IPC Min­is­ter appreciates na­tional hockey team per­for­mance

IS­LAM­ABAD—Fed­eral Min­is­ter for In­ter Pro­vin­cial Co­or­di­na­tion (IPC) Mian Riaz Hus­sain Pirzada on Mon­day ap­pre­ci­ated the over­all per­for­mance of the Pak­istan hockey team in the re­cently con­cluded Asian Cham­pi­ons Tro­phy.

The Min­is­ter said that Pak­istan hockey team played well es­pe­cially in the semi-fi­nal and fi­nal of the tour­na­ment, said a press re­lease is­sued here.

He said that Pak­istan hockey team ex­pressed sports­man spirit. “De­feat and vic­tory are part of the game but one should not be dis­cour­aged,” he said.

Laud­ing the per­for­mance of the na­tional team, he noted that for­ward-line and goal keeper ex­pressed worth, adding that the team should con­tinue hard work in sim­i­lar spirit. He also con­grat­u­lated the Pak­istan hockey team man­age­ment.—APP
