SITUATION IN IOK VERY CRITICAL: ARUNDHATI ROY

NEW DELHI: Prominent Indian journalist and Human Rights Activist Arundhati Roy said that the situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir is very critical. “The Indians need more freedom from Kashmir as compared to Kashmiris from Indians,” she said, adding that Indian aggression in Kashmir was showing its backlash in the country. She pointed out that the Indian government had deployed over seven lac army personnel in Kashmir, however, the American government had deployed around only one lac army personnel in Iraq. “The way the situation is turning in Pakistan and Afghanistan, it is vital to resolve the Kashmir issue,” Roy said, expressing her concern.
