Indictment of Dr Asim & Co delayed
Due to his ‘illness’, former petroleum minister Dr Asim and other accused could not be indicted in corruption case in the Accountability Court (AC). The AC has adjourned hearing of the case till October 17. Dr Asim Hussain and others are charged with inflicting financial loss of Rs 17 billion to national exchequer by awarding illegal contracts to a private company. All the accused arrested in the case were to be indicted but jail authorities told the court that Dr Asim Hussain was indisposed, therefore, he could not be presented.
