I to­tally agree with the au­thor of ‘Dig­i­tal Mar­ket­ing – the name of the game’. I think the prac­tice of build­ing re­la­tion­ships by en­gag­ing cus­tomers in in­ter­est­ing con­ver­sa­tion and hu­mour is some­thing that is se­verely lack­ing in busi­nesses to­day. How­ever, it is rather en­cour­ag­ing to see cer­tain busi­nesses adopt this method of pro­mot­ing them­selves and their brands as it dis­plays a cer­tain level of busi­ness ma­tu­rity; i.e. the knowl­edge that in or­der to get ahead in busi­ness, it is im­por­tant to have all your cus­tomers on board with you.

With a sub­stan­tial num­ber of peo­ple now us­ing so­cial me­dia, it only makes sense for busi­nesses to fol­low suit and uti­lize this medium to their ad­van­tage.
