This is about Slo­gan’s story on the re­vival of Pak­istani cinema. As it hap­pens, a com­plete re­vival of a dy­ing in­dus­try takes a good length of time. The same prin­ci­ple ap­plies to our film in­dus­try as well, which is, at the mo­ment, not even able to be called as an in­dus­try to be hon­est. Un­for­tu­nately, ev­ery­one starts talk­ing about re­vival with the re­lease of some new films, which is not the right approach. In fact, it takes more than a decade for a full resur­gence of cinema that seems un­likely at this point in time.
