Better late than never!
Shatrughan Sinha got a lifetime achievement award at the recent Filmfare Awards. He says it was great to receive the honour from his friend Amitabh Bachchan.
Popularly known by names like Shotgun Sinha and Bihari Babu, the 70-year-old Sinha has played a long innings in politics too. He said, “What more one can ask for…it’s better late than never,” He also said: “The joy of the award increased manifold when it was presented to me by Amitabh Bachchan in the presence of veteran director Subhas Ghai and my darling daughter Sonakshi Sinha.”
Starting his career with Dev Anand’s Prem Pujari, Sinha went on to act in more than 200 films. Some of his popular films were Kalicharan, Vishwanath, Kala Pathar, Dostana, Naseeb and Gautam Govinda. He is now doing his second term as a Lok Sabha member from Patna.
