• As per the latest figures revealed by the Government of Bihar, the per capita income in the state has increased to Rs. 17,590 compared to Rs. 8,528 in 2004-05. • The annual growth rate between 1999-2000 and 2004-05 was 3.5 percent, which accelerated to10.93 percent over the next five years. • The survey found that the contribution of the agriculture sector in the GSDP has been 19 percent which shows a decline from 26 percent in 2004-05, 17 percent from secondary sector, 11 percent from construction, 6 percent from transport and 30 percent from trade and hotels, etc. • Four out of 10 people own a mobile
phone. • The number of registered vehicles
have gone up by 3 lakhs. • The growth rate has jumped to 10.93
percent per annum over 5 years.
