name refers to the preser­va­tion of Lucknow’s Old Mughal grandeur and rich ar­ti­sanry tra­di­tions that are threat­ened by large com­mer­cial ven­tures. Founded by Af­shan Dur­rani, a Kash­miri-New York de­signer, the la­bel com­bines In­dian ma­te­ri­als with tra­di­tional tech­niques such as Aari with a con­tem­po­rary spin in home and ap­parel ac­ces­sories. Per­sian Mughal-era cal­lig­ra­phy and Urdu po­etry as well as Turk­ish pot­tery styles and Ja­panese mo­tifs are worked on tex­tiles us­ing tra­di­tional wooden looms to cre­ate unique col­lec­tions that have fea­tured in prom­i­nent Amer­i­can pub­li­ca­tions.
