Mu­si­cal chairs of sorts con­tin­ued to be played be­tween Na­jam Sethi and Zaka Ashraf, who took turns to hold the post of chair­man of the Pak­istan Cricket Board. Na­jam Sethi was re­stored as the head of the Pak­istan Cricket Board af­ter the Supreme Court sus­pended the de­ci­sion to re­in­state Zaka Ashraf as the PCB chair­per­son. Ear­lier, the Is­lam­abad High Court had re­in­stated Ashraf as the chair­per­son of the body.

For the sixth time since May 2013, the PCB saw the re­in­state­ment of a chair­per­son af­ter he was sent pack­ing on le­gal grounds. Ashraf was re­in­stated for the sec­ond time af­ter be­ing re­moved as the PCB chair­per­son twice while Sethi is now at the top spot for the third time.

Zaka was sus­pended in May 2013 by the IHC af­ter it ruled that his se­lec­tion process was du­bi­ous. How­ever, af­ter a com­pli­cated le­gal process, he was re­in­stated by the same court on Jan­uary 15, 2014, be­fore Prime Min­is­ter Nawaz Sharif dis­missed him again on Fe­bru­ary 10, bring­ing Sethi back in the sad­dle.
