To make phys­i­cally chal­lenged peo­ple self-re­liant through in­come gen­er­a­tion, vo­ca­tional train­ing was pro­vided to 20 phys­i­cally chal­lenged male and fe­male per­sons to en­hance their ca­pac­ity and skills in pro­duc­ing jute-made hand­i­craft. The week-long train­ing course was jointly or­ga­nized by the Rangdhanu Zila Proti­bondhi Ad­hikar Sangstha (RZPAS) and PPNOUS, un­der fi­nan­cial as­sis­tance of the Min­istry of Tex­tiles and Jute.

Speak­ers at the cer­e­mony stressed on cre­at­ing em­ploy­ment and self-em­ploy­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties for the phys­i­cally chal­lenged peo­ple through pro­vid­ing them need-based train­ing so that they could groom their ca­pac­i­ties in be­com­ing sel­f­re­liant.
