With 20 lakh cur­rent users, Smar­ti­can is a ground­break­ing quizzing game testing gen­eral knowl­edge that has de­vel­oped into a po­ten­tial so­cial me­dia mar­ket lead­ing web­site. Founded by young In­dian stu­dents in 2013, the user base of this so­cial me­dia web­site com­prises a 15% share of above 50 year olds. It pro­motes public opin­ion and free speech of com­mon peo­ple about sev­eral so­cial is­sues that they face.

De­vel­oped by Mo­tion Punch Stu­dios, Smar­ti­can re­ceives feed­back from youth for in­creased free­dom of speech. The web­site has op­tions like ‘Shout’ and ‘Anony­mous’ through which peo­ple share their opin­ions re­gard­ing so­cial is­sues openly. The co-founder claims that th­ese con­cerns are 99% pro­duc­tive and en­gage housewives and se­nior cit­i­zens in good num­bers af­ter youth that makes up a ma­jor por­tion of its user base. Ac­tive users are ex­pected to in­crease from the cur­rent 10,000 in the next five years.
