An un­der­grad­u­ate in com­puter science from the Gov­ern­ment Col­lege of La­hore and now hold­ing a masters de­gree in fine arts from Sa­van­nah Col­lege of Art and De­sign, Wa­jid Raza has set a bench­mark for the young vis­ual ef­fects artists of Pak­istan. Cur­rently set­tled in the US and em­ployed at Industrial Light and Magic (ILM), Wa­jid is as­so­ci­ated with Avengers: Age of Utron – the much an­tic­i­pated movie of 2015.

He started his ca­reer in 2011 with the Hol­ly­wood an­i­mated film, Rango and then did an­i­ma­tion for Star Trek Into Dark­ness, Now You See Me and Pi­rates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. ILM is a di­vi­sion of Lu­cas­film – a lead­ing US pro­duc­tion house and Wa­jid has pro­jected his skills in var­i­ous ca­pac­i­ties at the com­pany – light­ing tech­ni­cal direc­tor, pro­duc­tion en­gi­neer for tech­nol­ogy, dig­i­tal artist and pipe­line tech­ni­cal direc­tor.
