Spy Pigeon

Southasia - - BRIEFS -

A14-year-old boy handed over a pigeon to the local police after discovering various Urdu markings on its wings along with a Pakistani telephone number. In an interesting turn of events, police officers have since then labeled the pigeon a ‘spy’ from Pakistan, owing to the suspicious writing.

The bird was found in an area close to the border between Pakistan and India where constant military confrontation exists between the two countries. The local police has so far detained the pigeon for further investigation after conducting a thorough X-ray to look for other suspicious material on the bird.
