The

Ed­u­ca­tion Depart­ment has de­ployed high-res­o­lu­tion mo­bile fin­ger­print scan­ners to ver­ify the iden­tity of teach­ers, par­tic­u­larly in re­mote ru­ral ar­eas of the coun­try. Based on in­te­grated bio­met­rics tech­nol­ogy, the sys­tem can ver­ify more than 150,000 pri­mary and sec­ondary school teach­ers through­out the coun­try. The prime ob­jec­tive is to en­sure 100% teach­ers’ at­ten­dance, fin­ger­print bio-ma­trix will help to track and mon­i­tor real-time at­ten­dance of teach­ers at ed­u­ca­tional in­sti­tu­tions in the most re­mote parts of the coun­try. With a light emit­ting sen­sor (LES), the iden­tity ver­i­fi­ca­tion sys­tem will be mois­ture proof and is ex­pected to work well even in any en­vi­ron­ment and damp weather con­di­tions.
