Soap Ticket

Southasia - - BRIEFS -

Sri Lanka, you only need a bus ticket to wash your hands. An innovative sanitary solution for passengers, a ‘Soap Bus Ticket’ has been recently introduced to improve cleanliness and sanitation throughout the country. The ticket is fragrant paper fused with soap, which produces a foamy lather when wetted and is an ideal solution for an on-the-go hand wash. In Sri Lanka, soaps are not easily available in public spaces, including public toilets. To educate passengers about using soap bus tickets, posters and signboards have been placed at various bus stops, while tickets are distributed across major bus transit lines in the country.
