Korean Co­op­er­a­tion

Korean gov­ern­ment is go­ing to pro­vide some $500 mil­lion to Pak­istan through the Eco­nomic Devel­op­ment Co­op­er­a­tion Fund in agri­cul­ture, mine and min­eral devel­op­ment, hy­dropower, al­ter­na­tive en­ergy and road in­fra­struc­ture devel­op­ment. Cur­rently, Korea is the 15th largest trad­ing part­ner of Pak­istan; the two-way trade vol­ume was $1.6 bil­lion in 2014-2015. Op­er­at­ing un­der the Korean Min­istry of For­eign Af­fairs, the Korean In­ter­na­tional Co­op­er­a­tion Agency (KOICA) is al­ready work­ing on a num­ber of grant projects in Pak­istan. In 2014, both coun­tries signed an MOU on trade and in­vest­ment co­op­er­a­tion.
