Lead­ing Ap­parel Ex­porter

to the International Trade Sta­tis­tics of the World Bank, Bangladesh has be­come the sec­ond largest ap­parel ex­porter in the world with a 5.1 per cent mar­ket share. In fis­cal year 2014-15, Bangladesh ex­ported gar­ment items worth $25.50 bil­lion. Dur­ing the first 11 months of the cur­rent fis­cal year, it has al­ready earned $25.08 bil­lion from gar­ment ex­ports, which mostly in­clude sweaters, jack­ets, trousers and shirts. Lead­ing global re­tail­ers who source gar­ments from Bangladesh are: H&M, Wal­mart, Levi’s, Li&Fung, Nike, In­di­tex, VF Asia, Tesco, Gap, C&A, M&S, Adi­das, Olymp and Hugo Boss.
