to the International Trade Statistics of the World Bank, Bangladesh has become the second largest apparel exporter in the world with a 5.1 per cent market share. In fiscal year 2014-15, Bangladesh exported garment items worth $25.50 billion. During the first 11 months of the current fiscal year, it has already earned $25.08 billion from garment exports, which mostly include sweaters, jackets, trousers and shirts. Leading global retailers who source garments from Bangladesh are: H&M, Walmart, Levi’s, Li&Fung, Nike, Inditex, VF Asia, Tesco, Gap, C&A, M&S, Adidas, Olymp and Hugo Boss.
