With the launch of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Pakistan is gradually emerging as one of the most attractive markets for foreign investors. Recently, South Korea’s largest automotive manufacturer, Hyundai Motor Company signed a partnership with Nishat Mills to set up a car assembly plant in Pakistan for the assembly and sale of both passenger and commercial vehicles. This will mark the re-entry of Hyundai in Pakistan since it ceased operations in 2004. Kia, another automobile manufacturer from South Korea, is also entering the Pakistan market in collaboration with Lucky Group.
