The Diplo­matic In­sight(pak­istan's First English/ara­bic Bilin­gual Mag­a­zine) and Depart­ment of His­tory , Quaid-iAzam Univer­sity or­ga­nized Novruz Fes­ti­val" on April 5 from 10 am till 3pm at Qau­cam­pus. The fes­ti­val was first of its kind where broth­erly coun­tries in­clud­ing Azer­bai­jan, Afghanistan, Iran, Uzbek­istan, Kyr­gyzs­tan and­kaza­khstan have put ex­quis­ite stalls re­flect­ing cul­ture, lit­er­a­ture and her­itage of their re­spec­tive coun­tries. There were an ex­clu­sive stall about Pak­istan was also pre­pared for the venue. The ob­jec­tive of this event was to pro­mote cul­tural and deep rooted tra­di­tional links be­tween Pak­istan and coun­tries of the re­gion who cel­e­brate Novruz fes­ti­val as im­por­tant na­tional event. While Habib Bank Limited and Mur­ree Brew­ery also dis­play their stalls to sup­port fes­ti­val. Diplo­mats from var­i­ous coun­tries par­tic­i­pated and shared the joy with the par­tic­i­pat­ing coun­tries along with their fam­i­lies. These coun­tries pre­sented and shared their her­itage through dis­play of cul­ture, lit­er­a­ture, tra­di­tional dresses, mu­sic and food. It was a joint ef­fort to cel­e­brate the Nowruz and to share the cul­tural and tra­di­tional un­der­stand­ing with Pak­ista­nis es­pe­cially youth. Such cul­tural ex­changes not only help peo­ple from dif­fer­ent coun­tries get closer to each other but also help them to un­der­stand the global cul­tural en­vi­ron­ment.
