Bomber hits JUI-F con­voy, eight dead

SWABI: At least eight per­sons were killed and dozens in­jured when a mo­tor­cy­clist en­tered in the JUI-F car­a­van pass­ing by Swabi in­ter­change and blew him­self up, luck­ily JUI Ameer Fa­zlur Rehman re­mained safe in the at­tack hereon the other day.

As per me­dia re­ports, the sui­cide at­tack took place when a car­a­van of JUI (F) was go­ing to be a part of a wel­come demo in An­baar (Swabi).

DPO Pro­vin­cial Ejaz Shah had con­firmed that the at­tack was sui­cide.

He added that in charge of Swabi check post ASI Sar­dar Ali Khan em­braced Shah­dat along with seven other per­sons, while dozens sus­tained in­juries.

The in­jured were taken to the nearby hos­pi­tal and sev­eral were in crit­i­cal con­di­tion.

Sources added the sui­cide bomber tried to tar­get JUI (F)'s Ameer Maulana Fa­zlur Rehman.

Se­cu­rity sources said that car­a­van had passed by be­fore the sui­cide at­tack. Evidences have been col­lected by the forces from the place of in­ci­dent.
