He re­it­er­ated that the op­po­si­tion par­ties would firmly ad­here to the res­o­lu­tion unan­i­mously adopted by the House pledg­ing supremacy of the Par­lia­ment and uphold­ing the con­sti­tu­tion. Al­though the in­te­rior min­is­ter has clar­i­fied the im­pres­sion cre­ated in a sec­tion of press about army chief's me­di­a­tion in the cur­rent po­lit­i­cal cri­sis, Shah said that it would be bet­ter if the ISPR clar­i­fies the state­ment. The clar­i­fi­ca­tion, by the so-called cham­pi­ons of democ­racy would be ex­posed be­fore the 200 mil­lion peo­ple, he said.

Vet­eran politi­cian and Chief of Pakhtunkhwa Mili Awami Party Mehmood Khan Achakzai also fully en­dorsed the view point of the leader of op­po­si­tion and re­it­er­ated that they are with the con­sti­tu­tion. He urged the Speaker not to pro­rogue the ses­sion and called for sum­mon­ing a joint ses­sion of the par­lia­ment. Later the House was ad­journed to meet again on Mon­day evening. - APP
