Pak Steel gets an­other Rs 2.125bn

KARACHI: Pak­istan Steel Mills has re­ceived Rs 2.125 bil­lion out of Rs 2.875 bil­lion of 4th in­stall­ment of 1st tranche of its re­struc­tur­ing pack­age of Rs 18.5 bil­lion ap­proved by the Fed­eral Govern­ment.

A PSM re­lease said that the amount of Rs 2.125 bil­lion re­leased by Fed­eral Fi­nance Min­istry has been utilised for pay­ment of thirty days' salary (half of June and half of July) to PSM em­ploy­ees.

Khan was kid­napped on Septem­ber 8, 2010 when he was on way to the univer­sity.

He was said to have been re­cov­ered from Shawal area of North Waziris­tan where the armed forces are con­duct­ing a large scale op­er­a­tion.

A state­ment is­sued by the In­ter-Ser­vices Pub­lic Re­la­tions (ISPR) said that se­cu­rity forces and in­tel­li­gence agen­cies had been try­ing to lo­cate Prof Khan since Septem­ber 8, 2010 when he was kid­napped from Khy­ber-Pakhtunkhwa cap­i­tal while go­ing to univer­sity.

"Civil so­ci­ety and rel­a­tives ap­pre­ci­ated the un­tir­ing ef­forts of Pak­istan Army for the safe re­cov­ery of Aj­mal Khan," said the state­ment.
