Army to pro­tect state in­sti­tu­tions on 30th: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: In­te­rior Min­is­ter, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Thurs­day said that ar­ti­cle 245 is still im­ple­mented in fed­eral cap­i­tal and army could be called in if any un­wanted sit­u­a­tion oc­curred.

Speak­ing to jour­nal­ists here, the min­is­ter said that the PTI has sought per­mis­sion for Novem­ber 30 rally and the govern­ment would fi­nal­ize and an­nounce it de­ci­sion to­day (Fri­day).

He as­serted that thou­sands of law-en­forc­ing per­son­nel have been put on alert to deal with PTI?s Nov 30 rally in Islamabad.

All se­cu­rity in­sti­tu­tions are com­pletely ready as we have alerted hun­dreds of army sol­diers and of­fi­cers to call them when­ever re­quired for the rally, said Chaudhry Nisar.

He said that no­body would be al­lowed to at­tack govern­ment in­sti­tu­tions and ag­gres­sion on the fed­eral cap­i­tal of the coun­try.

He said as per writ­ten un­der­stand­ing PTI was al­lowed to be con­fined out­side the Red Zone but they were al­lowed in­side the zone on their in­sis­tence.

The Min­is­ter said over thirty thou­sand per­son­nel of Po­lice, FC, Rangers and Pak­istan Army were fully ca­pa­ble to pre­vent en­try into Red Zone but the govern­ment demon­strated flex­i­ble at­ti­tude for the sake of safety of the peo­ple.
