Army to protect state institutions on 30th: Nisar
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Thursday said that article 245 is still implemented in federal capital and army could be called in if any unwanted situation occurred.
Speaking to journalists here, the minister said that the PTI has sought permission for November 30 rally and the government would finalize and announce it decision today (Friday).
He asserted that thousands of law-enforcing personnel have been put on alert to deal with PTI?s Nov 30 rally in Islamabad.
All security institutions are completely ready as we have alerted hundreds of army soldiers and officers to call them whenever required for the rally, said Chaudhry Nisar.
He said that nobody would be allowed to attack government institutions and aggression on the federal capital of the country.
He said as per written understanding PTI was allowed to be confined outside the Red Zone but they were allowed inside the zone on their insistence.
The Minister said over thirty thousand personnel of Police, FC, Rangers and Pakistan Army were fully capable to prevent entry into Red Zone but the government demonstrated flexible attitude for the sake of safety of the people.
