First Na­tional Con­fer­ence on Sports Psy­chol­ogy In­ter­na­tional Wheel­chair Cricket As­so­ci­a­tion (IWCA), founded by one of our phys­i­cally- chal­lenged per­son Zee­shan Taqi, his wife Rukhsana, and his closed fel­lows Arif Khur­sheed and Javed Qadeer with the help of var­i­ous Per­sons- with­Devo­tions (PWD). It is honor that IWCA started from Pak­istan, now we are lead­ing wheel­chair cricket in the world.

Our Pak­istan Wheel­chair Cricket Team (PWCT) in the lead­er­ship of Zee­shan Taqi and un­der the guid­ance of leg­end crick­eter Sadiq Mo­ham­mad who is the coach of the team, will be vis­it­ing Nepal, Greece, Bangladesh and In­dia from the next month for play­ing wheel­chair cricket tour­na­ments and hope they will raise the green flag by win­ning matches through­out the world and will keep on giv­ing good news to the na­tion.

IWCA went one step ahead by or­ga­niz­ing First Na­tional Con­fer­ence on Sports Psy­chol­ogy dur­ing this week chal­lenged need sup­port not sym­pa­thy.

Renowned Artist Zeba Bakhtiar in her so­cial and spir­i­tual ad­dress ap­pre­ci­ated ef­forts of this squad of PWDs to­wards high achiev­ing tar­gets. She de­manded the rulers that they must en­sure im­ple­men­ta­tion of two present quota of PWDs in em­ploy­ments in all govern­ment and pri­vate sec­tor or­ga­ni­za­tions. She em­pha­sized that we all should read and learn Qu­ran in our mother lan­guages to get suc­cess in our lives.

Omer Aafaq who was con­duct­ing con­fer­ence beau­ti­fully said in his com­ments that "Per­son with Dis­abil­i­ties" (PWD) is ac­tu­ally re­flect "Per­son with De­vo­tion."

In this a day-long con­fer­ence in­clud­ing me, Ateeq Ur Rehman , Saeed Al­lah­wala, Dr. Ab­dul Bari, Dr. Min­haj Qid­wai, Mariam Chaudhry,Muham­mad Talib, Dr. Bar­erah Sid­diqui, Salahud­din Haider, Dr. Pervez Rizvey, Khalid Khan, Ali Hasan, Ze­shan Taqi, Javed Qadeer, Arif Khur­sheed, Sar­dar Khan and var­i­ous oth­ers also ad­dressed the con­fer­ence.

IWCA man­age­ment af­ter the suc­cess­ful con­fer­ence of­fered spe­cial thanks to Col­lab­o­ra­tion Part­ner Sports & Youth Af­fairs Dept. Govt of Sindh, Lead­ing Spon­sors PNSC, Fu­ture Group, Strate­gic Part­ners Coastals Packer Mover, Pak­istan Helpline, the or­ga­niz­ers of Sun­ris­ers , Youth Sup­port of PWA& YSR Team. Sem­i­nar on 'Free­dom of In­for­ma­tion and Whis­tle Blower Pro­tec­tion' Na­tional Ac­count­abil­ity Bu­reau (NAB) Karachi took a good ini­tia­tive for aware­ness about the cor­rup­tion in our Govern­ment de­part­ments and in so­ci­ety by or­gan­is­ing a sem­i­nar on "Free­dom of In­for­ma­tion and Whis­tle Blower Pro­tec­tion" in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Trans­parency In­ter­na­tional Pak­istan at the Pearl Con­ti­nen­tal dur­ing the last week.

Col ( R) Si­raj- ul- Naeem, Direc­tor Gen­eral NAB Karachi em­pha­sised in his ad­dress on work­ing to­gether for the erad­i­ca­tion of the men­ace of cor­rup­tion from the so­ci­ety. He said NAB has set up a hot­line and email ad­dress for re­ceiv­ing com­plaints against the cor­rup­tion.

So­hail Muzaf­far Chair­man TIP, Ad­nan Gi­lani Ad­vi­sor TIP, Jus­tice ( R) Haziq- ul Khairi, Mariam Javaid and var­i­ous other also ad­dressed the Sem­i­nar.

Speak­ers of the sem­i­nar opined that the erad­i­ca­tion of cor­rup­tion, it was nec­es­sary that there should be no hur­dle in ac­cess to in­for­ma­tion and also called for giv­ing pro­tec­tion to those who pro­vide in­for­ma­tion about cor­rup­tion to the NAB. Me­hfil-e-Mi­lad or­ga­nized by FWBL Tahira Raza, Pres­i­dent First Women Bank is an ac­tive in so­cial and cor­po­rate sec­tors. On be­half of her Bank dur­ing the last week, she or­gan­ised a Me­hfil- eMi­lad for Women at Pearl con­ti­nen­tal Ho­tel Karachi. Ms Khush­bakht Shu­jaat, Shaheen Zamir and var­i­ous other renowned women re­cited the Mi­lad. Swiss Com­pa­nies Eye Pak­istani Mar­ket Po­ten­tial Emil Wyss, CG of Switzer­land in Karachi along with his com­mer­cial sec­tion team, vis­ited the Bin Qasim As­so­ci­a­tion of Trade and In­dus­try (BQATI).

In the meet­ing, BQATI Pres­i­dent. Ab­dul Rasheed Jan Mo­hammed ap­prised the Con­sul Gen­eral of the var­i­ous ameni­ties Port Qasim In­dus­trial Zone can of­fer to for­eign com­pa­nies. Wyss, while ap­pre­ci­at­ing the ef­forts of the govern­ment and the busi­ness com­mu­nity, men­tioned that many Swiss SMEs rec­og­nize Pak­istan as a grow­ing mar­ket and in this re­gard var­i­ous trade del­e­ga­tions to and from Pak­istan and Switzer­land are be­ing con­sid­ered. In­au­gu­ra­tion of Ital­ian De­vel­op­ment Of­fice Ms.Elena Clau­dia Di Vito, head of Com­mer­cial, Cul­tural & Press of­fice, Em­bassy of Italy,Is­lam­abad who was on the visit of Karachi she along­with Dr.Gi­ulio IAZEOLLA, act­ing Con­sul Gen­eral of Italy Karachi and Tariq Ikram, Pres­i­dent (IDC), in­au­gu­rated Ital­ian De­vel­op­ment Of­fice at Zamzama Clifton. Bar­ris­ter Ab­dul R.Sat­tar and guests at­tended the in­au­gu­ra­tion cer­e­mony.
