LHC office objects on petition against Shehbaz's arrest
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) office on Friday put up the objection on a petition seeking to challenge the arrest and remand of Shehbaz Sharif and declared it nonmaintainable for hearing.
According to details, the petition will be presented before Justice Baqir along with the demur attached by the LHC office which has proclaimed the plea to be non-maintainable for hearing.
A day earlier, the arrest and remand of Opposition leader of National Assembly accorded by an accountability court was challenged in the Lahore High Court.
The petition filed in the High court states, as per Article 248, a public office holder cannot be apprehended.
