8 killed as coach rams into trailer in Dadu

DADU: As many as eight peo­ple were killed and 32 oth­ers sus­tained in­juries when a pas­sen­ger coach col­lided with a trailer loaded with rice at the In­dus High­way near Makhdoon Bi­lawal area of Dadu.

Ac­cord­ing to de­tails, the pas­sen­ger coach go­ing to Karachi from Larkana hit a trailer from be­hind near Makhdoon Bi­lawal area of Dadu, killing eight peo­ple on the spot and wound­ing 32 oth­ers.

Po­lice and res­cue teams reached the spot af­ter be­ing in­formed and shifted dead and in­jured to Civil Hos­pi­tal Dadu. Res­cue sources said that women and chil­dren were among the in­jured.

Res­cue sources fur­ther in­formed that seven crit­i­cally in­jured per­son were shifted to hospi­tals in Nawab­shah and Hy­der­abad. Po­lice said that the driver of the coach man­aged to es­cape from the scene af­ter the ac­ci­dent. - NNI
