CM pins high hopes on youth
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that youth are a precious asset of the country and the nation has high hopes of its young generation.
He said that member of Punjab Youth Council have been assigned an important responsibility by inducting them in the survey of flood-hit areas and they should spare no effort for coming up to the expectations.
This was stated by him at a briefing given by Chairman Punjab Youth Council Saif Hameed and Syed Maratab Ali regarding reconstruction programme after the flood, here today. The Chief Minister said that Punjab government is actively engaged in the relief and rehabilitation operation of the flood affectees and elected representatives, Pak army, district administration and civil society are also making commendable efforts in this regard. He said that all available resources of the province are at the disposal of flood victims and transparent utilization of every penny of donations for the flood affectees is being ensured.
He said that a website has also been launched for this purpose and details regarding the donation and their utilization have been given on the website. He stressed upon the members of the Youth Council to play an active role in the relief and rehabilitation of the calamity-stricken people.
