‘Govt to construct township in Loe Sam’
PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Owais Ahmad Ghani Thursday said that construction of a new township project in Loe Sam had been approved and the spade work had also been initiated where more than 1100 IDPs families would be accommodated.
He was addressing a tribal jirga comprising elders and notables belonging to all tribes and sub-tribes of Bajaur Agency here at Governor's House, he said that the township would have all the civic amenities and other linked facilities. He in this regard also made a mention of the Tribal Areas Rural-to-Urban Centres Conversion initiative (TARUCCI) project saying that it had also been approved.
Senator Maulana Abdul Rashid, sitting MNAs Shaukatullah Khan and Akhunzada Chatan, former MNAs Haji Bismillah Khan and Shahabuddin Khan, Secretary to Governor Sikandar Qayum, Secretary Law and Order FATA Fakhr-eAlam and Political Agency Zakir Hussain Afridi were also present in the Jirga.
He assured the tribesmen of Bajaur Agency that the government would utilize all available resources to resolve their problems and develop the agency in all respects. "The tribesmen of Bajaur Agency have particularly suffered heavy losses both material and human, rendering valuable sacrifices, which the govt. not only respect but would make all out effort to recompense," he added. -App
