BZU to start tex­tile en­gi­neer­ing evening classes

MUL­TAN: The gov­ern­ing body of Ba­haud­din Zakariya Uni­ver­sity Col­lege of Tex­tile and En­gi­neer­ing ap­proved launch­ing of evening classes of B.Sc Tex­tile En­gi­neer­ing.

In a meet­ing of the gov­ern­ing body presided over by ViceChan­cel­lor Ba­haud­din Zakariya Uni­ver­sity Dr Muham­mad Za­far Ul­lah and at­tended by in­dus­tri­al­ist Khawaja Muham­mad You­nis, Syed Muham­mad Aasim Shah, Tan­vir Ahmed Shiekh, Khawaja Muham­mad Fazil, Shiekh Muham­mad Tayyab, Prin­ci­pal Dr Ashraf Chaudhry, Muham­mad Aalim and Tahira Bappi, it was also de­cided to pay spe­cial fo­cus on mar­ket­ing with help of lat­est ma­chin­ery to at­tract at­ten­tions of the peo­ple at­tached to tex­tile sec­tor.

The meet­ing par­tic­i­pants also re­viewed per­for­mance of the col­lege and expressed sat­is­fac­tion. It was also de­cided to or­gan­ise evening classes of B.Sc Tex­tile En­gi­neer­ing in or­der to com­pete pri­vate sec­tor and also con­vey ad­van­tages of lat­est ma­chin­ery to the per­sons at­tached to tex­tile sec­tors.

The meet­ing also gave ap­proval of con­struc­tion of bound­ary wall, launch­ing of short cour­ses, reg­u­lar­i­sa­tion of teach­ers and raise in salaries of staff as well as prin­ci­pals. Re­gard­ing reg­u­lar­i­sa­tion of teach­ers ser­vices and in­crease in salaries of staff, the VC di­rected the prin­ci­pal to sent their case in uni­ver­sity so that it could be re­viewed in the meet­ing of Fi­nance and Plan­ning. -App
