Strict security arrangements to be taken during Muharram: CM
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that more security arrangements have been made during Muharram-ul-Haraam this year as compared to previous years.

Senior Advisor Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah Khan, Haji Ehsan Uddin Qureshi, Chief Secretary, IG Police and Home Secretary were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the Ulema, He said besides joint flag march of army and police, a mock rehearsal would also be arranged to review the security measures at all divisional headquarters so that any flaw in security arrangements could be timely removed. He said that instructions of indiscriminate action against the persons involved in wall-chalking, hatred material and provocative speeches are being implemented strictly. He said that we will have to promote tolerance in the society by forgetting petty differences and the nefarious designs of those elements who wanted to destabilize the country will have to be foiled. He said that government is paying full attention to the security arrangements during Moharramul Haram and hoped that, Inshallah, the Moharramul Haram will pass peacefully with the cooperation of Ulema.
Assuring their full cooperation on this occasion, Ulema said that we are united for the survival and security of the country and will not hesitate to render any sacrifice for this purpose. They expressed their satisfaction over the arrangements made for Moharramul Haram and gave their suggestions in this regard. Earlier, Chief Secretary and Inspector General Police informed about the arrangements made with regard to Moharram-ulHarram. Moreover, Shahbaz Sharif addressed the participants of under-training National Security Course in National Defence University for more than an hour at Chief Minister's Secretariat.
