CJP hopes Islamabad Bar to play its due role
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Thursday said that the Islamabad Bar was lucky enough to have professionals who should show their commitment and devotion towards their profession to provide maximum relief to the litigants by pleading their cases and facilitating them.
He was talking to a delegation of more than 100 lawyers of Islamabad Bar headed by its President Syed Wajid Ali Gillani who called on him today.
The Chief Justice said that Islamabad Bar played an effective and valuable role in the movement for restoration of Judiciary, rule of law and supremacy of the constitution in the country.
They performed a good job and did not back out from their duties and achieved their goal, he added.
He said that he further expected the same enthusiasm and zeal from legal fraternity to provide relief to litigant parties to redress their grievances.
The Chief Justice also felicitated the Islamabad Bar on establishment of Islamabad High Court. He noted that the disposal rate in Islamabad courts was satisfactory.
The delegation presented a bouquet of flowers to the Chief Justice. -App
