Call to set aside politics for flood victims
LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab Secretary Finance Aurangzeb Barki has said that politics should be set aside for rehabilitating flood-stricken people.
According to a handout issued, he said that in this time of hour we would not leave our brothers and sisters alone.
He said that Pakistan was facing worst floods in its history and they had affected millions of people.
He said the whole nation should unite to face the challenge and the international community should play its role to ensure their rehabilitation.
He said President Asif Ali Zardari was determined to coping with the challenge. He added the government had stopped development work and attached priority to flood relief activities.
He said the government was using all possible resources and working day and night for rehabilitation of flood victims.
He said the decision of all democratic forces to unite in the time of need was commendable. He said it was our national duty to help floods victims. -App
