Conference seeks support to research activities
KARACHI: The participants of 10th Biennial Conference of Pakistan Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (PSBMB) called for continued unhindered support to research activities in the universities in the country.
The 5-day conference concluded here Sunday at the Dr. A.Q. Khan Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Eugineering (KIBGE), University of Karachi.
The conference urged the authorities that the resources for higher education should not only be continued unhindered but further enhanced to ensure the growth and quality of scientific research which is vital for the development and improving the quality of life of common men in the country.
Prof. Jawaid Altaf Baig, President PSBMB, Prof. M. Waheed Akhtar. General Secretary PSBMB, Prof. Pervaiz Iqbal of the Aga Khan University, Prof Muhammad lshaq of Sir Syed Medical College and Dr. Younus Barozai of Baluchistan University addressed the general body of PSBMB and acknowledged the healthier funding for science and research activities in recent years that has created a conducive environment for scientific activity. -App
