IDPs of six villages reach home
SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: The repatriation of Internally Displaced Peoples (IDPs) continued as dislocated people of six more villages reached homes here Monday under the government's security arrangements.
The IDPs of Spinkai Ragzai, Murgi Band, Jang Malai, Ganara, Katori and Nawai Kuch villages reached home under tight security cover and the government has decided to provide Rs.25,000 cash and six month ration to each dislocated family.
Operational Commander South Waziristan, Maj Gen Muhammad Nawaz and Political Agent Aatifur Rehman reached to Mehsud dominated areas where caravans of IDPs are being returned and are personally supervising the process to ensure their smooth and dignified return.
Gen Nawaz and senior officers of political administration welcomed IDPs in Jandola. The IDPs raised slogans of PakArmy and Pakistan Zindabad on arriving to Jandola.
The journalists were briefed at Jandola fort about overall security by army officials. Gen Nawaz said that complete security is being provided to dislocated people upon their return. -App
