IDPs of six vil­lages reach home

SOUTH WAZIRIS­TAN: The repa­tri­a­tion of In­ter­nally Dis­placed Peo­ples (IDPs) con­tin­ued as dis­lo­cated peo­ple of six more vil­lages reached homes here Mon­day un­der the govern­ment's se­cu­rity ar­range­ments.

The IDPs of Spinkai Ragzai, Murgi Band, Jang Malai, Ga­nara, Ka­tori and Nawai Kuch vil­lages reached home un­der tight se­cu­rity cover and the govern­ment has de­cided to pro­vide Rs.25,000 cash and six month ra­tion to each dis­lo­cated fam­ily.

Op­er­a­tional Com­man­der South Waziris­tan, Maj Gen Muham­mad Nawaz and Po­lit­i­cal Agent Aat­i­fur Rehman reached to Mehsud dom­i­nated ar­eas where car­a­vans of IDPs are be­ing re­turned and are per­son­ally su­per­vis­ing the process to en­sure their smooth and dig­ni­fied re­turn.

Gen Nawaz and se­nior of­fi­cers of po­lit­i­cal ad­min­is­tra­tion wel­comed IDPs in Jan­dola. The IDPs raised slo­gans of PakArmy and Pak­istan Zind­abad on ar­riv­ing to Jan­dola.

The jour­nal­ists were briefed at Jan­dola fort about over­all se­cu­rity by army of­fi­cials. Gen Nawaz said that com­plete se­cu­rity is be­ing pro­vided to dis­lo­cated peo­ple upon their re­turn. -App
