Elec­tronic board­ing pass fa­cil­ity in Pak

KARACHI: Emi­rates Air­line has in­tro­duced the first ever elec­tronic Board­ing Pass (eBP) fa­cil­ity in Pak­istan.

In ad­di­tion to its on­line check-in ser­vice that al­lows pas­sen­gers to check in prior to ar­rival at the air­port, they will be able to print their board­ing pass at home through the eBP ser­vice, An Emi­rates state­ment is­sued here on Mon­day said.

This in­no­va­tive new fa­cil­ity has been in­tro­duced at all four Emi­rates sta­tions in Pak­istan. The pas­sen­gers fly­ing Emi­rates from Karachi, La­hore, Is­lam­abad and Peshawar now have the op­tion to print their board­ing passes at home prior to their flights in or­der to save time. The state­ment fur­ther pointed out that the op­tion to print the board­ing pass will be en­abled 20 hours prior to de­par­ture time. The new ser­vice will al­low pas­sen­gers car­ry­ing only hand lug­gage to by­pass the Emi­rates check-in counter and pro­ceed di­rectly to im­mi­gra­tion and then to their board­ing gate, sav­ing them time. -App
