Italian banks must increase capital: cbank
ROME: The effect of the global economic crisis on Italian banks has been relatively marginal but some lenders must move quickly to increase their capital, the governor of Italy's central bank said.
"The crisis has affected the Italian banking system in a rather marginal way," Mario Draghi, who is also the chairman of the Financial Stability Board in charge of reforming the global financial system, told reporters. "Having said that some banks have to do more to increase their capital quickly," said Draghi. -PB News
