Sindh Assem­bly body to dis­cuss ac­qui­si­tion of land

KARACHI: The Sub­Com­mit­tee of Sindh Assem­bly will meet here on Wed­nes­day (Dec 8) to dis­cuss the ac­qui­si­tion of prop­erty / land ad­ja­cent to Assem­bly Quar­ters for the ex­ten­sion of the Assem­bly build­ing.

The Com­mit­tee, headed by Syed Sar­dar Ahmed, Min­is­ter to Govern­ment of Sindh, will meet here with MPAs Haji Mu­nawar Ab­basi and Dr. Sikan­dar Mandhro, Sec­re­tary to Govern­ment of Sindh , Works and Ser­vices Depart­ment, Sec­re­tary to Ser­vices, Gen­eral Ad­min­is­tra­tion and Co­or­di­na­tion Depart­ment, Reg­is­trar Co­op­er­a­tive So­ci­eties, Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor of Karachi Union of Co­op­er­a­tive So­ci­eties and Project Di­rec­tor Con­struc­tion of new Sindh Assem­bly build­ing. "We are in ne­go­ti­a­tion with the own­ers of the two so­ci­eties which own the land ad­ja­cent to the Assem­bly Build­ing," Syed Sar­dar Ahmed told APP here on Tues­day.

He said that the con­struc­tion of the new build­ing was in full swing and hoped that the work, in this re­gard, would be com­pleted as per the sched­uled time. Pres­i­dent Asif Ali Zar­dari had per­formed the ground­break­ing cer­e­mony of the new Sindh Assem­bly build­ing in Au­gust 2009. -App
