Pakistan to continue supporting Kashmiris’ struggle: minister
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Wednesday that Pakistan would continue its political, moral and diplomatic support for the indigenous freedom struggle of Kashmiris against illegal Indian occupation of the Indian held Kashmir.
This, he said, while talking to AJK Minister for Overseas, Information and Environment Mehmood Riaz who called on him.
Qamar Zaman Kaira also condemned the cowardly attack on All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq by extremist Hindus and added that India cannot crush the indigenous
movement of Kashmiri people for their just right of self-determination.
Kaira said that by such tactics,India was trying to give religious colour to Kashmiris movement, but it will not succeed in its nefarious designs.
The minister also assured the AJK Minister that Pakistan government would continue its support for AJK media development projects.
He also said that steps were being taken to increase coverage area of Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
He also said that work on installation of new boosters in AJK would be completed on priority basis.
The AJK Minister Mehmood Riaz thanked the federal minister for cooperation with the AJK government in media development process in the state.
Moreover, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani on the start of the new Hijrah year has emphasized upon greater solidarity and cooperation between
Muslim peoples of the globe against foreign occupation, political and economic exploitation, illiteracy and impoverishment of the common man in the streets and slums of Muslim and non Muslim regions of the world.
According to Kashmir Media Service, he said the new Islamic year reminded the Muslim states of their responsibilities vis-…-vis occupied
Muslim lands, subjugated people and suffering humanity of this planet.
He said that it was the first and foremost duty of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) to fight for the rights of the Muslims and initiate necessary measures to force the United Nations Organization for resolving all peace-threatening disputes in line with the international human rights law and aspirations of the enslaved people. Otherwise, he warned, both the UNO and the OIC would lose their importance to the disadvantage of the world peace. -App
