Govt to remove deprivations of all provinces: minister
PESHAWAR: Federal Minister for Communications Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil has said that the government is bringing all its resources into use to bring development and Prosperity to Karachi and Sindh and said that we want to remove the deprivations from all the provinces.
The Minister said that our first priority is to complete ongoing projects under the National Highway Authority.
He expressed these views while talking to media after presiding over a high level meeting in the Karachi office of NHA. GM NHA Sind Syed Shabbir Ali Shah and Member Added Projects Tufail
Ahmad Sheikh and other high officials also participated in the meeting. On this occasion, the Federal Minister was given a detailed briefing over ongoing projects throughout Sind. Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan said that the present government believes in merit and ability , therefore emphasis should be given to complete all projects in accordance with international standards and clarified that no laxity and negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
The Federal Minister said that he personally visits Sind on the exclusive instructions of President Asif Ali Zardari to supervise all projects because Karachi is given top priority for being the city of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Arbab Alamgir Khan, while talking to the media said that, despite unfavorable circumstances, the performance of the government has been excellent, which is a great honor and expressed the confidence that this performance will also take them successfully through the next general elections. -App
