PPP, MQM coali­tion is in­tact: Qaim

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Min­is­ter Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Wed­nes­day said coali­tion be­tween Pak­istan Peo­ple's Party and Mut­ta­heda Quami Move­ment is in­tact and mi­nor dif­fer­ences,if any, will be re­solved am­i­ca­bly.

" Dif­fer­ence of opin­ion can emerge even within fam­ily mem­bers," Chief Min­is­ter said dur­ing his in­ter-ac­tive ses­sion with mem­bers of Fed­er­a­tion of Pak­istan Cham­bers of Com­merce and In­dus­try here at Fed­er­a­tion House. He said the bill for re-launch­ing of Com­mis­sionery Sys­tem in the prov­ince was ready to be pre­sented in Sindh Assem­bly and hope­fully this would soon be­come a law.

He said PPP-led Govern­ment was mak­ing its best pos­si­ble ef­forts to main­tain law and or­der, and there is a sig­nif­i­cant im­prove­ment on this ac­count.

We are fully aware that bet­ter law and or­der sit­u­a­tion is very much needed for eco­nomic growth in the coun­try, he added.

He said the govern­ment strictly be­lieved in pub­lic-pri­vate part­ner­ship and has en­hanced its li­ai­son with pri­vate sec­tor peo­ple at var­i­ous level to pro­mote sense of own­er­ship among them for the Govern­ment po­lices/de­ci­sions so that the ob­jec­tive can eas­ily be achieved.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah in­vited FPCCI mem­bers to join the project of Thar coal and other as­so­ci­ated projects there, and as­sured them of full sup­port and fa­cil­i­ties from the Govern­ment. -App
