Suddle Commission mandated to complete investigation
The one-man Commission appointed by the Supreme Court to probe Malik Riaz and Dr Arslan's alleged business deal, has said that it is fully mandated to complete its task as there was no restraining order in the field.
As there was no restraining order from the apex Court and the time limit for the Commission to complete the inquiry had been extended up to 6.12.2012, it was only lawful for the Commission to continue with its proceedings, a press release from the office of one-man inquiry commission, Shoaib Suddle said on Wednesday.
It said that it had also conveyed to Malik Riaz Hussain that being a complainant in the case, the onus was on him to assist the commission in arriving at a fair and just conclusion of the inquiry. Moreover, his request to restrain the Commission was not acceded to by the apex Court.
The One-Man Inquiry Commission had been issuing repeated notices to Malik Riaz Hussain to submit his concise statement along with supporting evidences.
