Indo-pak trade ties to pro­pel re­gional sta­bil­ity: Nawaz

PML-N Pres­i­dent Nawaz Sharif has said that ex­change of del­e­ga­tions and in­creas­ing trade re­la­tions be­tween Pak­istan and In­dia are good omen for de­vel­op­ment and sta­bil­ity in the re­gion. He said that to­day world is an age of econ­omy and if the econ­omy of both the coun­tries is strong, the liv­ing stan­dard of the peo­ple will be bet­ter and they would be pro­vided pros­per­ous at­mos­phere. There­fore, it is es­sen­tial that both the coun­tries should re­solve their is­sues through di­a­logue.

These views were ex­pressed by him while talk­ing to Chief Min­is­ter of In­dian Prov­ince Bi­har Natish Ku­mar who called on him along with the high level del­e­ga­tion at Jaati Umra on Thurs­day.

Nawaz Sharif ap­pre­ci­ated the ef­forts of Chief Min­is­ter Bi­har due to which the Bi­har prov­ince has be­come a role model in In­dia with re­gard to in­sti­tu­tional re­forms.

He also ap­pre­ci­ated the ef­forts of Chief Min­is­ter Bi­har for up­hold­ing law, pro­vi­sion of in­fra­struc­ture, eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment and in­crease in an­nual growth rate. Nawaz also in­formed Natish Ku­mar about de­vel­op­ment projects and other steps taken in ed­u­ca­tion, health, trans­port, in­fra­struc­ture, po­lice and ju­di­cial re­forms, in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy sec­tors and good gov­er­nance by PML-N gov­ern­ment in Pun­jab un­der the lead­er­ship of Chief Min­is­ter Pun­jab Shah­baz Sharif.

He said that great op­por­tu­ni­ties of de­vel­op­ment ex­ist in the re­gion and the destiny of the peo­ple of the re­gion can be changed by fully ben­e­fit­ting from these op­por­tu­ni­ties and re­solv­ing the ex­ist­ing is­sues be­tween both the coun­tries.
