Ma­lik cau­tions ter­ror threats

In­te­rior Min­is­ter Rehman Ma­lik said there were ter­ror threats for the next three days (810 Muhar­ram).

Speak­ing to the me­dia, the In­te­rior Min­is­ter said there was an out­side power try­ing to desta­bilise Pak­istan and three dif­fer­ent ter­ror­ist groups wanted to de­stroy the coun­try.

Com­ment­ing on the sus­pen­sion of mo­bile phone ser­vices and ban­ning mo­tor­cy­cle rid­ing on 8-10 Muhar­ram, Ma­lik said th­ese were un­der con­sid­er­a­tion and con­sul­ta­tions were on­go­ing with the pro­vin­cial gov­ern­ments.

He added that the pres­i­dent and prime min­is­ter had given a man­date for the sus­pen­sion of mo­bile phone ser­vices and ban­ning mo­tor­cy­cle rid­ing.
