A del­e­ga­tion com­pris­ing Sen­a­tors be­long­ing to FATA led by Se­na­tor Is­lam-ud-Din Sheikh, Chief Whip called on Prime Min­is­ter Raja Pervez Ashraf here at the PM House on Thurs­day.

Ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease the Sen­a­tors ap­prised the Prime Min­is­ter about the up­com­ing leg­isla­tive busi­ness in the Se­nate in­clud­ing the draft 22nd amend­ment and 23rd amend­ment per­tain­ing to dual na­tion­al­ity. The Sen­a­tors as­sured the Prime Min­is­ter of their un­con­di­tional sup­port and co­op­er­a­tion to the government both in­side and out­side the House. The Prime Min­is­ter ap­pre­ci­ated the po­lit­i­cal sagac­ity and ma­tu­rity demon­strated by rep­re­sen­ta­tives of Fed­er­ally Ad­min­is­tra­tive Tribal Ar­eas (FATA) in both the Houses and said that their con­tri­bu­tion and role in the sta­bil­ity of the government mer­its ap­pre­ci­a­tion.

Those who met the Prime Min­is­ter in­cluded Se­na­tor Ab­bas Khan Afridi, Min­is­ter of State for Com­merce, Se­na­tor Haji Khan, Se­na­tor Hilal ur Rah­man, Se­na­tor Eng. Ma­lik Rashid Ahmed Khan, Se­na­tor Hi­day­at­ul­lah, Se­na­tor, Muham­mad Saleh Shah, and Se­na­tor Ma­lik Na­j­mul Has­san.
