PMA Balochis­tan to con­tinue strike

Pak­istan Med­i­cal As­so­ci­a­tion, Balochis­tan chap­ter has de­cided to con­tinue with the strike af­ter the re­cov­ery of ab­ducted eye spe­cial­ist Dr Saeed Khan Wed­nes­day, ac­cord­ing to me­dia re­ports.

The fam­ily sources told Geo News that Dr Khan reached home af­ter be­ing re­cov­ered and re­frained from giv­ing fur­ther de­tails.

Doc­tors through­out Balochis­tan protested the kid­nap­ping of the se­nior doc­tor and went on strike, clos­ing down the emer­gen­cies and wards in government and pri­vate hos­pi­tals.

On the other hand, PMA Balochis­tan has an­nounced to carry on with the strike af­ter Dr Khan's re­cov­ery.

While cit­ing the rea­son of strike, Pres­i­dent of PMA Balochis­tan Dr Sul­tan Tareen told the me­dia that the doc­tors will con­tinue the strike as Dr Khan was re­cov­ered af­ter the pay­ment of ran­som, and no in­ter­ven­tion was made on be­half of the government or se­cu­rity agen­cies.
